The History of Therasal

The history of the herbal oil Therasal® is inextricably linked to a small town nestled in the Austrian Alps, where an ancient formula has been passed down from generation to generation within an Austrian family.

In the distant past of the Middle Ages, the treatment of skin wounds was a major challenge, primarily due to poor hygienic conditions. Injuries and trauma affected everyone—from nobles to ordinary people—but medical care was accessible only to the wealthy, and many people relied on folk healers and monasteries. The use of Therasal® can be traced back precisely to those times.

Thanks to its natural ingredients and special herbal extracts, the body’s self-healing powers were stimulated, leading to successful treatment of various types of injuries and burns. Over time, this special oil earned its “legendary” reputation in Tyrol as an exceptionally valuable solution for many skin problems. For generations, small quantities of the oil were produced and shared with those seeking help and with the injured by the family of Theresia Reitzamer, who safeguarded the precious recipe. In recent decades, the beneficial effects of Therasal® have also been recognized by conventional medicine. It was first used in a hospital setting when Ms. Reitzamer introduced it to the University Hospital in Innsbruck to help a child with burns. Today, many physicians around the world—including in Bulgaria—trust its effects.

A highlight in the modern history of Therasal® is the blessing of the oil on Easter 2009 at the Vatican.

СТАТУЯТА НА ТЕРЕЗИЕНОЙЛ

A sculpture in the shape of an angel’s wing was created and installed in the Vatican to celebrate the beneficial effects of the herbal oil Therasal. The sculpture is a sign of gratitude for this precious oil and a prayer for blessing in the centuries to come.

SPIRITUAL BLESSING
ДУХОВНО БЛАГОСЛОВЕНИЕ

On Easter in 2009, Therasal received this official blessing from the Vatican:

“I blessed Therasal and gave thanks for the precious gift that it represents. My blessing extends to all who experience relief and healing through Teresa’s oil, as their souls are healed as well!”
