ТЕРАЗАЛ®

Recommendation by the Bulgarian Surgical Society

Dear Colleagues,

Recovery after skin wounds:

  • after surgical interventions
  • wounds – contusions, lacerated-contusions, punctures
  • difficult to heal wounds – CVI, PAD, pressure ulcers
  • burns
  • hematoma

each patient is treated differently, and the role of the doctor is to help this process pass quickly, painlessly and with convincing results.

Therasal® spray is an oil containing herbal extracts (Pyrus Malus Fruit Extract, Stellarioides Longibracteata Leaf Extract), vitamin E and natural fats (Butyrum bovis, Skin Lipids).

There have been a number of post-marketing surveillance studies across the country, drawing the following conclusions:

  • Wound tissue hydration – liquefies necrotic tissues, reduces fibrin deposits and improves their evacuation
  • Reduces bacterial invasion and reduces the inflammatory process
  • An epithelialization ridge appears that stimulates fibroblast and endothelial cell migration and proliferation
  • Fresh granulations fill the secondary wound defect with healthy tissue
  • Stimulates epithelialization
  • Pain decreases or disappears

Experience with Therasal® spray proves that it is safe and effective for wounds of various origins.

Based on all observations and conclusions, I recommend using Therasal® spray as a therapy for faster and effective recovery.

Recommendation by the Bulgarian Society of Obstetrics and Gynaecology

Dear Colleagues,

Recovery after childbirth in every woman is different and the role of the obstetrician-gynaecologist is to help this process pass as quickly and painlessly as possible.

A series of post-marketing surveillance studies have been conducted nationwide, based on which its use has been proven for:

  • Abrasions and trauma received during the birthing process
  • Treatment of surgical wounds after caesarean section, episiotomy and perineotomy
  • Difficult to heal wounds
  • Burns
  • Postoperative treatment of the surgical incision to avoid the formation of rough cicatrix and keloids
  • After removal of condylomas
  • After laser treatment

Following the observations, the following conclusions were drawn:

  • There was a significant difference between the study group and the control group in the absorption of subcutaneous haematoma and elimination of pain sensation in the mothers
  • Acts antiseptic and accelerates wound healing as well as tissue and skin repair
  • Significant reduction of oedema – improved circulation and oxygenation
  • Faster healing of the surgical scar
  • Lack of suppurations in patients
  • Fading and flattening of scars

The accumulated experience with Therasal® spray proves that it is safe and effective in recovering patients after childbirth or gynaecological surgery.

Based on all observations made, I recommend using Therasal® spray as a therapy for faster and more effective recovery.

Recommendation by the Bulgarian Association of Pediatric Surgery

Dear Colleagues,

Treatment of surgically ill children is a very specific and responsible process. Children are not a miniature copy of an adult and have medical and surgical problems and needs that are often radically different from those of adults. Children need the best possible medical care.

Pediatric surgeons are trained in exceptional knowledge and have extensive experience in treating children of all ages with a variety of surgical conditions. Due to their unique training, pediatric surgeons offer a wide range of treatment methods of the highest quality.

Pediatric surgeons diagnose and operate on sick children, including correction of birth defects, traumatic injuries, solid tumors, conditions requiring endoscopy and minimally invasive surgery, as well as outpatient surgical procedures.

The tasks of a pediatric surgeon are:

  • to eliminate as much as possible pain, itching, and discomfort from the wound;
  • to provide the wound with the opportunity for rapid and proper healing – aseptic conditions, good trophism and hydration of the skin edges and bottom;
  • to minimize the consequences of the wound – the scar

There have meets the needs of the pediatric surgeon in the treatment of:

  • wounds of various origins (contusions, lacerations-contusions)
  • burns
  • hard-to-heal wounds
  • traumatic edema and hematomas
  • scar prevention

Therasal® spray is an oil containing herbal extracts (Pyrus Malus Fruit Extract, Stellarioides Longibracteata Leaf Extract), vitamin E and natural fats (Butyrum bovis, Skin Lipids).

Our experience with Therasal® spray in clinical practice proves its effectiveness and safety, making it the tool of choice in pediatric surgical practice.

Use of Terasal Spray in the Treatment of Severe, Life-threatening Soft Tissue Infections and Its Role in the Treatment of Locally Advanced Ulcerated Breast Cancer

Shared experience:

Introduction:
Treating purulent-septic wounds in surgery is not always an easy task, as depending on the type of wound, the general condition of the patient, and the duration of the infection, it can pose a number of challenges. Surgical treatment alone is not sufficient. Therasal spray comes to the aid of successful treatment of severely infected wounds with qualities that surpass other medications that differ in nature and mechanism of action.

Aim:
To present the effect of Therasal spray in the complex treatment of purulent-septic wounds and its beneficial effect on ulcerated breast carcinoma.

Materials and methods:
Over a period of one year, Therasal spray was used intraoperatively and postoperatively in the treatment of resistant, life-threatening infections in 15 patients who were hospitalized in the Intensive Care Unit and other surgical clinics at the University Hospital St. Marina. Therasal spray was administered intraoperatively and postoperatively to 15 patients hospitalized in the Thoracic surgery department and other surgical clinics in the hospital with severe phlegmons of the neck and mediastinitis. In the treatment of ulcerated breast carcinoma, Terasal spray was administered to 8 patients.

Results:
All patients showed a marked reduction in the necrotic areas associated with the infection, early granulation, reduced wound exudation, limited inflammatory infiltration around the wound, cessation of the spread of infection to adjacent tissues and areas, a visible reduction in hospital stay, a decrease in the frequency of surgical wound revision, and an improvement in the general condition of patients. In breast carcinoma, there was a reduction in secretion and a lower incidence of hemorrhage and the appearance of non-bleeding scabs.

Conclusion:
Therasal spray has established itself as an essential component of combination therapy in the treatment of life-threatening soft tissue infections in breast surgery and advanced breast carcinomas.
